Jim Roets

Senior Vice President of Casino Operations & Marketing Jim has nearly 40 years of experience in Nevada gaming. In 1978, he was recruited to open the MGM Grand in Reno, the largest property in northern Nevada at the time. Jim worked at the Reno Hilton, Caesars Tahoe, Grand Sierra Resort and Hooters Casino Hotel before joining our LVH (now Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino) in 2012. Born in Wisconsin, Jim considers himself a Silver State resident since he has lived here since he was a teen and watched Las Vegas evolve into a world-class destination.




Alex Montanarella

Vice President of Player Development & Casino Credit & Collections Alex was born in New York and moved to Las Vegas in 1976 to attend UNLV. He has been in the casino industry for nearly 40 years, having begun his career as a casino dealer at the MGM Grand. Alex worked at the Tropicana for 20 years and also worked at the Rio before joining LVH (now Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino). He notes that what he enjoys most about the gaming industry is that every day provides new challenges and opportunities. Alex also enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing golf, traveling and attending sporting events.




Nancy Briggs

Executive Casino Host International Marketing Nancy started her career at LVH (now Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino) in 1991 assisting the Vice President of International Marketing and Executive Casino Hosts. She worked her way through various departments and now serves as Executive Casino Host International Marketing. Nancy loves old movies, Broadway musicals, “oldies” music, nonfiction and autobiographical books.




Anthony “Toby” Dicesare

Director of Player Development A Las Vegas resident since 1957, Toby has watched the city’s astounding growth over the years. He started out as a casino dealer making $8 a day and worked at various casinos throughout town working his way up to Shift Boss, Casino Manager, Casino Host, Executive Casino Host and now Director of Player Development. Toby works out daily and is an avid racquetball player.




Michael Espinosa

Executive Casino Host Michael hails from New York City and joined LVH (now Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino) in 2006 after working over a decade as a foreign currency/interest rate trader at various financial institutions in the Big Apple. He has worked in various departments – from VIP Services to Database Marketing to Casino Host. Michael prides himself in providing exemplary customer service that makes visits to our casino a memorable one. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and taking advantage of all the fun things that Las Vegas has to offer.




Kathy Manard

Casino Marketing Manager Kathy was born in California and moved to Las Vegas in 1978 to attend UNLV. She majored in hotel administration and worked her way through various casinos, accumulating nearly 35 years in the casino industry. Kathy’s favorite aspect of her position is the relationship she has built with her customers and independent agents. She enjoys fishing, camping and, most of all, spending time with her dog, Blossom.




Gordon “Tad” Nakano

Executive Casino Host Slot Marketing Tad found his way to Las Vegas all the way from Boise, Idaho. His career at LVH (now Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino) began in 2006 and he brings us more than 10 years of experience in the casino industry. Tad enjoys singing, cycling, running, swimming, woodworking and wine drinking.




Idalia Sandoval

International Marketing Director Born in Durango, Mexico, and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Idalia proudly represents the Latin American market at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. She has developed her bilingual skills and fully understands the Latin culture and its needs. Idalia joined LVH in 2005 as the coordinator for Latin Marketing and, through hard work and dedication, quickly moved her way up to International Marketing Director. Besides work, she takes pleasure in spending time with her family and friends. Idalia looks forward to the opportunity to welcome international casino guests into her circle of friends her at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.




Lester “Les” Thacker

Executive Casino Host A native of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Les has more than 35 years of experience in the casino industry. He started at the International Hotel in 1969 as a bus boy and left in 1970. Les found his way back in 1974 as a casino dealer and worked his way to Executive Casino Host in 2005. An avid biker, he enjoys all types of motorsports as well.
