VacationGuard provides an automatic two – day extension! Benefits begin once the traveler leaves for their trip, up to two days prior to the check-indate and two days following the check-out date. Trip extension is a great benefit that allows for flexibility in travel schedules, while providing protection.
Coverage is extended under the Trip Delay benefit even when a traveler is delayed while vacationing at their final destination. VacationGuard will reimburse the traveler for the additional accommodations under Trip Delay.
If a mandatory evacuation is ordered by local authorities delaying the traveler from reaching their final destination, the traveler has up to $500 for additional lodging & meals expenses while the mandatory evacuation keeps them from their destination.
A pre-existing medical condition exists if a traveler and/or traveling companion is treated or diagnosed within 60 days prior to the policy effective date. The exclusion regarding pre-existing medical conditions can be waived if:
